Amanda Reiser

Hello there, my name is Amanda Reiser, translating to the Lovable Traveler. This transcends into my work in the travel industry. For over 5 years, I’ve explored how travel can be a positive experience for both destinations and travelers.

As a Senior Associate with Skift Advisory, I continue to support destinations in understanding their tourism potential, collaborate on creative solutions on how tourism can best work for unique communities, and advance sustainable initiatives globally. My approach is centered around data-driven research and an all-of-destination focus to help drive informed innovation.

Prior to joining the Skift Advisory team, I worked as a freelance sustainable tourism consultant completing organizational and destination stewardship plans and strategies, evaluating them through global sustainability assessments, developing learning modules, and researching and contributing to reports and portals on a variety of topics ranging from blue tourism to outdoor recreation to Indigenous tourism. During this time, I also served as the Project Manager for the Indigenous Tourism Collaborative of the Americas.

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Hospitality and Event Management and a Master’s Degree in Sustainable Destination Development from the George Washington University. Having lived in bustling cities including Washington DC and Paris as well as smaller, more rural areas including Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming and Talkeetna in Alaska, I’m able to more intimately understand the challenges and strengths of a variety of destinations and organizations.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, gardening, chasing waterfalls and sunsets, and reading on my hammock. You can also find me trying new vegetarian recipes or crafting cocktails. I seek adventures near and far and love exploring Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA where I live and exploring destinations within driving distance or around the world.
