Hola, I’m Aleix, pronounced A-lesh in case you’re wondering! With 7 years of extensive experience across various sub-sectors of the tourism industry, I am a seasoned strategy and stakeholder engagement specialist. My diverse background has provided me with a unique breadth of knowledge and an innovative mindset, enabling me to assist clients in discovering bold new approaches to understanding, communicating, conceptualizing, and expressing their brand positions.

Throughout my career, I have primarily focused on advising tourism organizations, providing valuable insights in areas such as strategy development, research methodology, and stakeholder engagement. I bring a wide range of skills to the table, including project management and expertise in qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methodology research approaches. These capabilities have proven instrumental in delivering successful outcomes for our team. Before joining Skift Advisory, I served as a strategy manager at TUI, a leading global tour operator. In that role, I spearheaded new market development and travel trade strategy initiatives, taking charge of organizational strategy, process optimization, and operational efficiency. I also played a pivotal role in implementing complex projects, including major business acquisitions and technology deployments. This experience has honed my abilities to navigate intricate challenges and deliver impactful results.

Having grown up in Barcelona, Spain, I have had the privilege of living and working in diverse locations such as Norway, Thailand, the UK, Sweden, Cyprus, and Mexico. This exposure has not only broadened my cultural understanding but also facilitated my fluency in English, Spanish, and Catalan.

When I’m not focused on developing a destination’s strategy, you can usually find me getting lost in the countryside and taking in the views on the lovely island of Mallorca, where I live (the beaches are nice too).
